Essential oil of sweet-scented wintergreen: friend of the joints
The fragrant wintergreen ( Gaultheria fragrantissima ) is native to Asia, particularly Nepal where it enjoys high altitudes. Its properties are similar to those of wintergreen ( Gaultheria procumbens ) but their odors are not identical and the sweetgreen has more complexity.

The essential oil of wintergreen fragrance:
- is antispasmodic (soothes muscle cramps),
- is anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-rheumatic (relieves joint inflammations such as arthritis or tendonitis),
- is hypotensive.
Indication
On a psycho-emotional level, the aroma of wintergreen is warm, deep. It is a good cordial, able to warm the body and the soul.
