Sabal
The sabal (saw palmetto) is a dwarf palm tree originating in the south of the United States. The bays of the sabal were consumed by Séminoles, of the Amerindians living in Florida. They also employed them to treat the urinary disorders at the mammary men and problems at the woman. Today, the sabal is especially used for its beneficial action on the symptoms related to the benign hypertrophy of the prostate.
