Sweet and fragrant

Bergamot trees are found in the Mediterranean basin and in West Africa. The squeezed zest gives us an essence containing monoterpenes, but also esters and monoterpenols.

This relative complexity gives it a special place among the other rutaceae (orange, lemon, grapefruit, mandarin…), and which is expressed by a much more nuanced aroma: not only fruity, but also warm and slightly spicy. The scent of this variety is less intense than that of the African variety.

Bergamot essential oil promotes nervous balance and harmonious coexistence between the mental plane and the emotional plane.

In everyday life, the essential oil of bergamot is mainly used in atmospheric diffusion. It is perfect for sanitizing the ambient air , aided by a pleasantly fine odor which is a fragrance in itself.

In culinary flavoring, try it in desserts (1 to 2 drops at the end of any preparation), especially in crème brûlée. You can soak (with measure) a slightly bland green tea.

On the psycho-emotional level, Bergamot essential oil will soothe or stimulate the nervous system according to individual needs. It strengthens the mind and helps to regain self-confidence , after having evacuated fear and anxiety. It will help correct behaviors marked by addiction (tobacco, alcohol, food, etc.). For these applications, use it as a diffuser, in the bath (dilute: do not forget the emulsifier required!), Or as an active ingredient in a massage oil.
