Hieracium pilosella (Active ingredient)

Diuretic, antifungal and astringent, the mouse-ear has many therapeutic virtues exploited as of the Middle Ages. At the 12th century, Hildegarde de Bingen mentions its power of cure. Formerly used to strengthen the sight and to heal the wounds, mouse-ear is nowadays mainly employed to treat water retentions problems, to drain the body, to eliminate excesses from salt and to support digestion.
