Lavera

Lavera, the "true" natural cosmetics.

Lavera is a German brand of natural cosmetics, created more than 25 years ago. Lavera aims to design products with 100% natural fragrances, without synthetic preservatives and no testing on animals. All Lavera cosmetics are Natrue certified and most are vegan. Finally, Lavera products are biodegradable because they are derived from plants. They do not contain chemical agents or mineral oils.

Thomas Haase is at the origin of Lavera. He had suffered from neurodermatosis since his childhood. Seeking relief, he quickly became interested in alternative dermatological care and developed his own products. In 1987, after more than 10 years of research, Thomas Haase decided to found his own company of all-natural cosmetics: Lavera Naturkosmetik was created.

Thomas Haase has since teamed up with Klara Ahlers (founder of the first stores specialising in natural cosmetics, in 1988). Lavera has grown considerably and today employs more than 200 people. In spite of this expansion, the German company has retained the philosophy of its beginnings: to develop skincare products that help everyone feel good about themselves and to make these cosmetics accessible to as many people as possible.
