Chitosan

Chitosan (or Chitosane) is a component naturalness which comes from the carapace of the shellfish (crabs, shrimps…). In the organization it has the characteristic to bind naturally with the lipids to form a gel which, not being assimilated by the organization, is eliminated by the natural ways. Chitosan is thus able “to trap” approximately 15 times its own weight in lipids.

Taken right before the meals, Chitosan is a food supplement which allows consequently to limit the absorption and the storage of greases coming from the bolus. This is why one finds of Chitosan in the composition of many food supplements thinness intended to collect the greases.

A sufficient contribution in Chitosan would in addition contribute to maintain a rate of normal cholesterol .
