This large herbaceous plant can reach 3 meters in height. It is found in all tropical parts of the planet.
The aroma that emerges is sweet, green, slightly lemony, close to rose.
Advice from André Bitsas (extracts from his book Aromatherapy Body and Soul , Éditions Amyris): " Palmarosa essential oil is antibacterial, antiviral and acts against fungi. You can use it in the same way as Rosewood essential oil to treat respiratory infections : its pleasant aroma can be an asset to children and sensitive smells. (…). "
"Comparable in this to geranium, the excellent skin tolerance and the aroma of Palmarosa essential oil favor its cosmetic uses. It is used in particular against dry and oozing eczema, infected acne and skin fungus."
" On the psycho-emotional level: The olfactory note of Palmarosa essential oil gives us back the warm life of tropical regions, a certain capacity to live in the moment . (…) Palmarosa essential oil helps us to ourselves to unblock resentments of the past and dreams of the future Use: in the bath, in pure anointing, in massage, in diffusion, or integrated in an oil or cream for cosmetic purposes. "
For all infections, a few drops of essential oil of palmarosa several times a day, on or next to the affected organ: on the neck (pharyngitis), on the sinuses (sinusitis), etc.
The uterotonic action useful in childbirth will be revealed by a massage in the lower back of 5 drops of essential oils of palmarosa + 5 drops of hazelnut vegetable oil, to be repeated every 20 minutes.
Trick
On a daily basis, 1 drop of palmarosa essential oil and a drop of rosemary verbenone essential oil in your day cream will regulate sebum secretion, hydrate your skin and help regenerate skin cells.
