The mastic tree pistachio tree is a branching and twisted shrub, with brown or reddish bark, characteristic of the usual vegetation of the maquis. Pushing mainly in Corsica, Sardinia or in Morocco, it develops on light and sandy grounds close to the beaches of the Mediterranean. Little used because of its high price, it is well-known by the massotherapist for his effectiveness in the lymphatic drainage.

To treat the varixes or the haemorrhoids: to mix 2 drops of essential oil of peppermint, 2 drops of essential oil of always green cypress, 1 drop of essential oil of mastic tree pistachio tree, 1 drop of essential oil of vetiver, 3 drops of vegetable oil of calophylle inophylle. To apply 4 to 6 drops of the mixture to the painful zone 3 times per day until disappearance of the symptoms.
