Fragrant and soothing
If there are many varieties of basil, that's usually the exotic basil is used in aromatherapy. It comes from India, Vietnam, Madagascar.
Its essential oil gives off a fresh aroma, sweet, slightly spicy.
The advice of André Bitsas (excerpts from his book Aromatherapy Coprs and soul , Amyris Editions):
"The Basil essential oil is powerfully antispasmodic; specifically, it soothes the digestive spasms, gastrointestinal, promotes digestion and a slight smoothly. (...) Use it rather internally: 2 drops 3 times a day.
Alone or in synergy, diluted in vegetable oil to allow a local external use, it softens the muscles before exercise and relieves muscle cramps.
On the psycho-emotional level, the essential oil of basil refreshes and revives the spirit. We will not use it to disconnect from the real world but to find the right measure of things: it helps people stressed and overwhelmed by the daily routine to get high. (...) It can be used in friction (always dilute) in massage, in the bath or in atmospheric diffusion. "
