Almond milk
Almond milk is rich in antioxidants (vitamin E), essential minerals, potassium and calcium. It is easily digested and is a good substitute for cow's milk for people with lactose intolerance. With its pleasant flavor of dried fruit, almond milk is also low in cholesterol and less calories than other vegetable milks (eg: soy milk). When making almond milk, the almonds are first soaked for several hours, then mixed with water. The white liquid obtained is filtered to obtain a consistency comparable to that of cow's milk.
